Summer
Summer in the Granby Ranch area offers pleasant temperatures and plenty sunshine. Outdoor activities for the summer season can be enjoyed with the longer days, due to the higher elevation, an afternoon thunderstorm typically comes in the afternoons or early evenings. The sun is stronger at high altitudes bringing a greater risk for sunburn - make sure your sunscreen and bring the appropriate gear! On average the months between June and August are warmest in Granby Ranch and surrounding areas.
Fall Colors
Fall foliage season can vary from year to year, but it usually is the second or third week in September and can last up to 3 weeks providing plenty of time for you to enjoy. Scenic hikes or chairlift rides are 2 of the most popular activities to view the changing leaves in the fall, Granby Ranch will see minimual precipitation but the mornings and evenings can be on the chilly side. The first snowfall in early November helps to get the slopes ready for the ski season.
